Kate Hofstra

Kate Hofstra is the woman behind the school. She is named after one of the founders of Hofstra University. In 1988, we included a female lioness to reflect inclusion and representation of empowerment to women. Kate is part of the dynamic duo with her husband Willie Hofstra. Together they are seen all over campus, at every basketball game, admissions event, photoshoots, video productions, graduation and wherever they are needed. They won Spirit Support group of the year in 2019 at the Hofspys which is our athletic awards dinner. Kate always brings the hype, love and sass wherever she goes, emitting a sense of being strong, kind, and spirited. She will never give up the chance for a hug or a photo op with a fan. She loves to dress up and have fun wherever she goes!
